Funeral service for Gerrit Ryken,67,Ireton farmer who died suddenly of a heart attack while sitting in his car parked at Graig about 2 0'clock Tuesday afternoon will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Methodist church in Ireton. Dr. G.S. Bruland officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton under the direction of the Barnard-Dow Funeral home.

Mr. Ryken was born in Netherlands on August 13, 1898. He came to the United States in 1920 settling in this area. His parents were Mr.and Mrs Henry Ryken

He married to Martha Alice Jones in Sioux City on December 28,1921 and they farmed in the Ireton and Craig area.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Ned (Gladys) Ronson of Los Angeles, and Mrs.Stanley (Frances) Risland of Plaines, Mont.; two brothers and three sisters, all in Holland, and six grandchildren
