Funeral services for Edward L.Rembe,76,longtime resident here who died Saturday night at the Veterans hospital in Soiux Falls after a long illness, were held at 2 o'clock Tuesday at the Barnard Funeral home, Paster Nerval Wisil of the American Lutheran church officicating. Burial was at Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Rembe was born at Akron September 3,1887. He farmed near Hawarden for many years. Mr. Rembe, who never married . He was a veteran of World War I when he served in France.

Survivors include a sister Mrs.George Eilks of Alton. Three brothers John of Sioux City, George of Lucas, Kan, and Earl of Puyallup, Wash., and several nephews and nieces, one of whom is Mrs. J.B. Schiefen jr. of rural Hawarden. He was a brother-in-law of Marge Rembe
