Funeral services for Edwin Budden, 80, of Ashton.will be held today (Saturday) at 10:30 am. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church at Ashton. Pastor Alfred McCoy will officiate. Burial will be at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at Ashton under the direction of the Andringa Funeral Home of Sheldon. Pallbearers will be Kenny, Kevin, Douglas and Ronald Budden, Roger Pottebaum and Dennis Friedmann.Edwin Budden, the son of Edwin and Anna Budden, was born March 4, 1904 at Granville. He attended Granville Catholic School. He was married to Marie Ellen Klein June 20, 1938 at Alton. They lived on a farm near Ashton for the past 38 years. Mr. Budden died Feb. 13 at a Sanborn Nursing home.Survivors include his wife; three sons: Daniel of Sheldon, Robert and William, both of Ashton; a daughter, Diane (Mrs. Kenneth) Gipple of Atlantic; two brothers, Emil of Granville and Albert of Chicago, Ill.; three sisters: Mrs. Al Pottebaum of Alton, Mrs. Leo Hemmen of Granville and Mrs. Art Wersinger of Remsen and seven grandchildren.
