Mrs. Frances Cambier, age 78, of Alton, passed away Saturday, May 30 at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City after a long illness.

Frances was born April 29, 1909 at Orange City, the daughter of Nick and Lillian Noteboom. On July 12, 1929 she married Clinton Cambier at Sioux City. He passed away May 24, 1977 at Orange City. Mrs. Cambier continued to live in Alton until 1983 shen she suffered a stroke.

Survivors include her four sons, Leland, Raymond and Roger all of Alton, and Paul of Herndon, Va.; 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and sister, Mrs. John (Harriet) Vander Maaten of Leota, Minn.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild and her brother, John Noteboom.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 2 at the United Presbyterian Church of Alton with the Rev. Henry Eggink officiating. Interment followed at Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
