Mrs. Robert Buckley, 65, Rock Valley, died Oct. 24 at a Sioux Falls SD Hospital of a long illness. Services were held at 10 a.m. Oct 27 in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Rock Valley. The Rev. Patrick J. Nooney officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Oct 26 in the Porter Funeral Home. Mrs. Buckley, the former Marth DeBerg, was born May 8, 1910 at Little Rock. She was married to charles O. Bowen Mar 19, 1934, at Rock Rapids. he died in Nov. 1958.
She was married to Mr. Buckley February 1, 1962, at Rock Valley. She was employed as a journalist for the Lyon County Reporter at Rock Rapids for 15 years. Survivors include the widower; a son Curtis (Bowen?) of Sioux Falls; two brothers, John DeBerg of Little Rock, and Olie of Rienbeck; two sisters, Mr. John Anna Moet of Sibley and Mrs. William Florence Kruse of White SD and four grandchildren.
