Emil Budden, 69, of Granvi1le dies Tuesday, July 5, 1988 in the Orange City Municipal Hospital after a brief illness. Services were held Friday, July 8, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Granville. Rev. Robert W. Gralapp officiated. Burial was in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Granville, under direction of the Fisch Funeral Home, Remsen.
Mr. Budden was born Aug. 6, 1918 in rural Granville to Mr, and Mrs. Edward (Anna Millenkamp) Budden. He was raised and educated in the Granville area. He married Alice Croat on Nov. 24, 1947 in Granville. The couple farmed near Granville and retired and moved into Granville in 1984.
He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Granville.
Survivors include three sons,. Douglas, Hospers; Steven, Encinitas, Calif., and Kevin, Granville; two daughters, Mrs. Duane (Sharon) Newman, Des Moines; and Kelly Budden of Denver, Colo.; eight grandchildren; one brother, Albert of Chicago, Ill.; and three sisters, Mrs. Leo (Armella) Hemmen, Granville; Mrs. Al (Coletta) Pottebaum, Alton, and Mrs. Art (Irma) Wersinger, Remsen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Romie, Norbert, Ray and Edwin; and one sister, Mrs. John (Malinda) Poeckes.
