Oscar Anderson Dies at Age 67

Funeral service for Oscar H. Anderson, 67, a retired Alcester business man and a brother-in-law of Herb Anderson of Hawarden who died Monday at the Veterans hospital in Sioux Falls where he had been a patient for about a month, were held Thursday at Nathanael Lutheran church in Alcester. Rev. Nels Bergstrom officiated with burial in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Mr. Anderson was born Octomber 25, Hawarden and remained here until moving to Alcester in 1919.

He married Judith Linnea Anderson at Alcester on June 29, 1920. She died in April of this year.

Mr. Anderson was a veteran of World War I.

Survivors include a son Quentin of Alcester; four brother, Art, Fred, Bob and Bill all of Alcester; three sisters, Minnie of Hudson, Frieda of Oto, Iowaand Ester of Colorado Spring, Colo. and three grandchildren.
