Services Held For Loren Mann

Military funeral services for Loren Mann,47, of Sioux City, son-in-law of Mrs. Lulu Strong of Hawarden, who was found Sunday in his car near the Big Sioux River at Akron, having been dead since last Wednesday from carbon monoxide poisoning, were held at the Akron cemetery Monday afternoon, prior to which a short services was held at the home of his mother, Mrs. Nettie Mann, in Akron

Mr. Mann, father of nine children was a construction worker. He was injured while in service during World War II. Originally from Akron, he married Miss Pearl Strong of Hawarden.

He was a brother-in-law of Floyd,Lloyd,Harry and Mildred Strong, Mrs. Daisy Waterman and Mrs.Betty McManaman all of Hawarden. Mrs. Madeline Harns of Waterloo and Mrs. Ray Bellock of Watertown, S.D.

Also surviving are the widow; five married children and four children at home; his mother, Mrs. Nettie Mann at Akron; two sisters and several grandchildren.
