S. Sommervold Dies at Age 61

Funeral services for Sivert Sommervold, 61, of Alcester, who died Saturday at a Yankton hospital after a short Illness, will be at 2 o'clock this afternoon (Thursday) at Roseni Lutheran church near Beresford. Rev. Norman Nelson, superintendent of the Bethesda Home for the Aged, will officiate with burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Sommervold was born September 15, 1900, on an Emmett Township farm near Nora, S.D. He moved with his parents to a farm in Sioux Valley township near alcester in 1903. He attended Garland school near Alcester and was baptized in the Roseni church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Edwin I. Johnsen of Sioux City and Mrs. Howard Nygaard of Hawarden and several nieces and nephews.

His parents John and Seri Sommervold, a sister and a brother preceded him in death
