PETER J. DAALE DIES AT AGE 64

Funeral services for Peter John Daale, 64, longtime Hawarden area resident who died Saturday [Nov. 21] at his home here following a lengthy illness, were held at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon at the Christian Reformed church, Rev. John J. Wiegers officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery.

Casket bearers were Peter Swier, Randolph Kooi, Raymond Vander Lugt, Marlin Van Wyhe, Gerrit Schouten and Darrell Dekkers. Mrs. Peter Sinkey was the organist and accompanied the congregation in a hymn.

Mr. Daale was born February 15, 1900 in The Netherlands. He came to this country at the age of 23 and settled in Sioux county.

On February 14, 1929 he married Elizabeth Vander Lugt at Hawarden and they had farmed in this community since then.

He was an active member of the Christian Reformed church and at one time served as deacon of the church.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Peter John jr., Wilbur and Ronald, all of Hawarden; two sisters and four brothers in The Netherlands, and seven grandchildren.
