ELMER FRANKE

Elmer Franke, 73, Ireton, died July 5 at a Sioux City hospital. Services were at 10:30 a.m. July 8 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton. The Rev. Arthur Anacker officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Dow Funeral Home of Ireton.

Mr. Franke was born May 21, 1902, near Maurice, Iowa. He married Helma Heidbrink Feb. 14, 1926, at Ireton. She died April 29, 1969. Mr. Franke was a past secretary of the Center Township School Board and past president and director of the Farmers Cooperative Creamery at Sioux City, Iowa. He was a past president of the Ireton Farmers Cooperative Assn. and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Ireton.

Survivors include three daughters, Miss Marjorie Franke of Le Mars, Iowa, Mrs. Craig (Marilyn) Bolin of Clarksville, Iowa, and Mrs. Gaylord (Marlys) Klessig of Colorado Springs, Colo., a son, Dean, of Maurice; five grandchildren; a brother, Orin of Ireton.
