Funeral Rites Held Friday for Mrs. Elmer Franke, 64

Funeral services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran church at Ireton at 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, for Mrs. Elmer Franke, 64, of rural Maurice, who died at the Orange City hospital April 29 following a week's confinement.

Services were conducted by the Rev. Arthur Anacker and burial was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery at Ireton.

Mrs. Franke was the wife of the former president of the Sioux Center Cooperative Creamery. The family home is located on U.S. Highway 10, three miles east of the Ireton corner.

Mrs. Franke, nee Helma Heidbrink, was born in Reading township, Sioux County, May 27, 1904. She was married to Elmer Franke February 14, 1926, at Ireton.

Survivors besides her husband include three daughters, Marjorie Franke of LeMars, Mrs. Craig (Marilyn) Bolin of Cedar Falls and Mrs. Gaylord (Marlys) Klessig of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one son, Dean, of Maurice; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Marvin Robitsille of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Matilda Rasmussen of Alhambra, Calif., and Louise Heidbrink of Ireton; five brothers, Charles, Ed and Oscar, all of Ireton, Fred of Spencer and Louis of LeMars.
