DEATH CAME VERY SUDDENLY
Mrs. Peter Ganzeveld Passed Away Saturday Morning
Was Taken Sick Friday Night While Doing Chores and Died at 5 O'clock the Next Morning

Mrs. Peter Ganzeveld, who has resided with her family on a farm, five miles east of Hawarden, for the past five years, died very suddenly Saturday morning [Oct. 31]. She had been subject to some heart trouble but this ailment had not interfered with her customary household duties and she had attended to her work as usual all during the week and on the day preceding her death, besides milking two cows Friday evening. It was while she was assisting with the evening chores that she was seized with a severe headache and she took some headache tablets and decided to retire for the night. The pain grew steadily worse, however, and about ten o'clock Friday night she lapsed into unconsciousness from which she did not recover, passing away about 5 o'clock Saturday morning. A physician was summoned soon after she became unconscious but could hold out little hope for her recovery from the first. It is believed that her death was due to an abcess on the brain.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the home, followed by services at the Christian Reformed church at Ireton, conducted by Rev. Wm. Terpsma, pastor of the Ireton church. Interment was made in the Ireton cemetery.

Mrs. Ganzeveld was 45 years of age and came with her family to this locality five years ago from Grand Rapids, Mich. Besides her husband she is survived by a large family, her children and step-children numbering sixteen. Sincere sympathy goes out to the members of the grief stricken family.
