March 14, 1937---January 7, 2010
Pauline Elva Juffer, 72, of West Des Moines, formerly of Sibley, died Jan. 7, 2010, from cancer at Mercy Medical Center. Services were Jan. 11 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, West Des Moines. Arrangements are under the direction of Brooks Funeral Care in Clive, Iowa.
Pauline was born March 14, 1937, in Ireton, the daughter of Paul and Elvira Kading. She earned her teaching certificate from Buena Vista University and taught for several years before devoting her time to raising her children.
Pauline and her husband Arlin resided in Sibley for more than 40 years until his death in 2004.While in Sibley, she was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, served as
church librarian and was active with the Sibley Historical Society. Pauline moved to The Lodge of Ashworth in West Des Moines in 2005, where she enjoyed many activities and developing new friendships. Pauline attended St. Mark Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her children, Paul (Paula )Juffer of West Des Moines. Julie Juffer of Johnston, Iowa, Mary Jo (Kevin) Judd of Minneapolis and Matt (Amber) Juffer of West Des Moines;
grandchildren; Ben, Nick, Nate and Luke Juffer; and her sister, Marlene Eilts of Ireton, Iowa; as well as many friends.
