Chalma L. Oleson, 80, of Spanish Fort, AL died Sunday, July 11, 2010. A memorial service was held July 15 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Daphne, AL. A second memorial service will be held Aug. 5 at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Cypress, CA.

Chalma was born in Ireton, the daughter of Lorenz and Ila VanderHamm. She grew up in Ireton and graduated from Ireton High School in 1947.

She is survived by her husband, Clayton Oleson; three children, Dennis Oleson, Shari Oleson Andre’ and Jeffrey Oleson; three grandchildren, Matthew Oleson, Ashley Andre’ and Brad Andre’; two sisters, Charleen Rhodes and Nadine Foley; cousins, nieces, nephews, an aunt and an uncle.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles VanderHamm.
