Funeral services for Fred W. Gayer, 69, will be held tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, it was announced by members of the family Wednesday morning. Services will be held at the home at 1:30 and at the Peace Lutheran Church at 2:30 P.M. Rev. C. J. Rebelein will officiate at both services. Burial will be made at the Peace Lutheran Cemetery.

Mr. Gayer's death came unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon and was attributed to a heart stroke. He had been treated for this ailment for some time but had been active right up to the time of his death. He is reported to have felt his usual self early in the afternoon when he decided to walk up to the business district. His death came suddenly, as he was resting in a place of business.

Mr. Gayer retired from farming four years ago and moved with his wife to Rock Valley at that time. He was considered one of the outstanding farmers in this part of the county for many years. Full details of his life and a complete obituary will appear in the next issue of the Bee.
