The funeral of Leonard A. Fullerton, eldest son of Mr. & Mrs. Mon Fullerton, was held Sunday afternoon from the Presbyterian Church, Rev. W. O. Harper in charge. The church was crowded with relatives and friends of the deceased. Many beautiful tributes were there, showing the love and respect of the givers. The men's choir composed of Rev. Harper, Ora Grau, Fred Schuette, B. W. Rogers and Wil Brown, with Mrs. Henry Poll at the piano, same several beautiful pieces.

The following young men neighbors and chums of the deceased acted as pall bearers: Norman and Leo Rohlfs, Ben Bohlken, Raymond Plueger, Webbe Francis and Seward Van Buskirk. Interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Two weeks ago while out in the yard at his home he was exercising a horse which he had at the end of a long rope. In some way the horse became unruly, throwing him against some machinery, fracturing his right shoulder. He was removed to the Sacred Heart hospital in LeMars where he received every attention and care and seemed to be well on the road to recovery when double pneumonia developed, which he was unable to overcome.

Leonard A. Fullerton was born at Flasher, N.D., Dec. 16, 1911, and passed away at the Sacred Heart hospital in LeMars, Jan. 30, 1936, at the age of 24 years, 1 month and 14 days. In the fall of 1913 the family moved from North Dakota to Plymouth county, which has since been their home. The past eleven years they have lived on a farm, seven miles southwest of Ireton. Here Leonard grew to manhood, attending the rural schools and helped his parents on the farm. Industrious by nature, willing and a hard worker, he was the right hand of his father, ever dutiful and affectionate to parents, brother and sisters. When his services were not needed on the home place he was always looking for and receiving work somewhere else. Big hearted and considerate of others, he won and held many friendships. All who knew him regarded him highly and of excellent character.

Besides his parents, two sisters and one brother survive him. They are Mrs. Helmuth Schwiesow of Hawarden and Arla and Harley at home and one nephew, little Marvin Schwiesow of Hawarden. He also leaves two grandfathers, A. L. Scott of Ireton and G. A. Fullerton of Austin, Texas. The family has the profound sympathy of all in their great loss.
