Gebauer, Ralph "Ollie" - 1914-1991

Ralph "Ollie" Gebauer, 77, of Orange City died unexpectedly October 10 at a Spirit Lake hospital.

Services were Monday at American Reformed Church in Orange City, with the Rev. Marlin Vander Wilt officiating. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, Orange City.

Gebauer was born May 24, 1914 at Orange City, the son of William and Henrietta (Romberg) Gebauer. He married Wilmina Kleinhesselink March 28, 1935 at LeMars. He worked for the Silent Sioux Oil Burner corporation for 37 years. During retirement, he did maintinance work at the Orange Colony apartments in Orange City.

He was a member of American Reformed Church.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters and their husbands, Joan and Duane Poppen of Sergeant Bluff; Myrna and Verne Wielenga of Sioux Center and Barbara and Gerald Bock of LeMars; a son and his wife, Ralph and Carol of Sioux Falls; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; two brothers, William of Alton and Henry of Hawarden, and a sister Jeanette Weiss, of Cherokee.

He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jami, three brothers and two sisters.
