Julius A. Gebauer, 62, of Alton, died unexpectedly Friday, Aug. 28 in an Orange City hospital.

Services were at 10 A.M., Monday at the First Reformed Church in Alton. The Rev. Telstra officiated. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mr. Gebauer was born April 30, 1919 in Alton. He was married in 1947 and the couple moved to California the same year where he was a heating and air conditioning contractor. Mrs. Gebauer died in 1978. He retired and returned to Alton this year.

Survivors include three sons, Bill of Alton, Albert of Lincoln, Ark., and Danny of Garden Grove, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. Keven Orr; three sisters, Ann Bills of Lake San Marcos, Calif., Mrs. Gerald (Jeanette) Weis of Charlotte, N.C., and Mrs. Louis (Shirley) Wurth of Alton; three brothers, Henry of Hawarden, Ralph of Orange City, and Gus of Lakeood, Calif. and six grandchildren.
