Roger N. Falde, 67, of Hawarden died suddenly Monday, Sept. 21, 1992, at the Hawarden Community Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hawarden with Rev. Edmond Adams officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery, under direction of the Porter-Dow Funeral Home in Hawarden.
Mr. Falde was born Sept. 19, 1925, in Virginia Township, Union County, S.D., the son of Conrad and Gertrude (Whalen) Falde. He graduated from the Hawarden High School in 1943. He married Mary Kelley June 17, 1946, in Hawarden. The couple farmed the Falde family farm west of Hawarden for 20 years. They lived in LaHabra, Calif., for one year before returning to Hawarden, where he owned and operated "Jolly Rogers" from 1970 to 1976. He had worked at Hass
Hillcrest Care Center in Hawarden the last 12 years.Survivors include his wife; a son, Randy Falde of Hawarden; a daughter, Robin Falde of Hawarden; his father, Conrad Falde of Alcester, S.D.; and two grandchildren, Brendan and Megan Falde, both of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
