Funeral services were set for Friday afternoon for Ray Van Kalsbeek, 82, of Hospers, who passed away at the Sheldon Community hospital last Wednesday following a three weeks illness. Services were held at the Clarence Van Kalsbeek home at one-thirty, and in the Christian Reformed Church in Hospers. Rev. D. D. Bonnema officiated.

Mr. Van Kalsbeek was born in the Netherlands January 7, 1873 and came to this country at the age of 19 and settled in Sioux County at Orange City where he lived for ten years. He had lived in the Hospers community for over fifty-two years at the time of his death.

Surviving are two sons, Clarence and Peter Van Kalsbeek, both of Hospers and 10 grandchildren. His wife died about six years ago.
