Denhartog, Mrs. Dingman (Antonette) - 1887-1966

Funeral services were held at the First Reformed church here at 1 P.M., Saturday for Mrs. Dingeman Den Hartog, 78, long-time resident of this vicinity, who passed away at the Sioux Center Community hospital Thursday following a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Rev. John A. Roggen and burial was made in the Carmel cemetery under the direction of the Co-operative Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Den Hartog was born October 16, 1887, at Carmel and grew to young womanhood there. She was married to Mr. Den Hartog on January 9, 1909. They farmed in the area until his passing on October 5, 1935. Shortly thereafter Mrs. Den Hartog moved into town.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Ernet Y. Mulder and Mrs. Henry Schenk, both of Sioux Center; Mrs. Walter Warntjes of Boyden; Mrs. Stanley Campagne of Ontario, Cal., Mrs. Baker Duke of Montclair, Cal., and Miss Marlys Den Hartog of San Diego, Cal.; two sons, Gysbert of Chino, Cal.; and Pershing of South Date, Cal.; three sisters; three brothers; 25 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren.
