1927 - 2010
Donna Louise Kruse was born November 26, 1927 at George, Iowa, the daughter of Ed and Tena (Behrens) Uden. She grew up on a farm between Matlock and George, attending Dale #5 and the George High School.
She married Harry E. Kruse on February 15, 1946 at George, Iowa. She moved many times, always in the George and Rock Rapids area. She was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church, and an active member of the Ladies Fellowship, serving as president and secretary for 10 years. She was a 29-year member of the Legion Auxiliary, Commander of Navy Mothers. She loved to crochet, cook, read, help others, and volunteer at the nursing home.
Donna passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Lyon Manor Care Center in Rock Rapids, Iowa at the age of 82.
She leaves to cherish her memories, six children: Arlys and husband Ken Nagel of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; Idel and husband Keith Woodruff of Prescott Valley, Arizona; Harlan (Butch) and wife Faith Kruse of Rock Rapids, Iowa; Margery and husband Rich Lorenzen of Sherburn, Minnesota; Twila and husband Warren Harms of Doon, Iowa; and Eldon and wife Deb Kruse of Rock Rapids, Iowa; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; 13 step great-grandchildren; one brother, James and wife Nancy Uden; sister-in-law Cecilia Uden; and special niece, Dorothy Vust.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry; brother, Wilfred Uden; sister, Anna Marie Hindt; one granddaughter, Lori Lynn; and one son-in-law, Marlin Johnson.
