Louise G. Peppers, 83, of Alcester, S.D., formerly of Hawarden, died Sunday, Feb. 2, 1992, at Morningside Manor in Alcester.

Services were Wednesday at Porter- Dow funeral home in Hawarden. Steve Bell officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery.

Mrs. Peppers, the former Louise McAninch, was born Oct. 10, 1908, in Freda, N.D., the daughter of Floyd and Olive (Morgan) McAninch. She moved to Hawarden with her parents in 1922. She worked as a waitress in the Gladstone Hotel in Hawarden and Bishop Cafeteria in Sioux City. She married Frank Peppers Feb. 10, 1937, in Donaldsonville, Ga. The couple made their home in Mobile, Ala., where they owned and operated Peppers All State Rides and Shows for fairs and parks. Mr. Peppers died July 23, 1963. She returned to Hawarden, to be close to her family, where she worked at Otis Radio for 11 years before retiring. She moved to Morningside Manor in Alcester Dec. 5, 1991.

Survivors include a son, Gregory, and his wife, Kim, of Hawarden; a sister-in-law, Louis McAninch, of Hawarden; and several nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by a brother, Lyle McAninch; and a sister, Irene Eilers.
