FORMER BOYDEN RESIDENT DIES

Funeral services will be held for E.G. Mahoney, former Boyden resident, Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the United Presbyterian church.

He passed away Tues. Aug. 17, at his home, following an illness of several months duration. About six months ago he suffered a stroke, a second one last week and a third one Tuesday, which resulted in his death a short time afterwards.

Mr. Mahoney, until 13 years ago, was a resident of Boyden, where he was in the plumbing and hardware business. Leaving there, he went to Marshalltown and was employed as city installer for the Lennox Furnace Company and from Marshalltown moved to State Center, where he conducted a plumbing shop.
