Mrs. Ruby De Vries, 65, died Wednesday evening in a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.
She was born July 3, 1919, the daughter of Jacob and Elizabeth (Veenstra) Hop at Orange City. She married Marion De Vries, March 22, 1945 at Orange City, where she lived most of her life. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church.
Survivors include her husband, Marion; two sons, Merlyn of Oklahoma City, OK., and Gerald of Orange City; one sister, Mrs. Artie Vegter of Artesia, CA.; three brothers, Julius of LeMars, Howard and Donald, both of Orange City; two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant sister.
