Rites Held For John Krusen, 74

John Krusen, 74, a life long resident of this vicinity, died Sunday at the Hawarden Hospital.

Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Williams of the First Baptist Church officiating. Mrs. Ralph Gregg Jr., with Mrs. Hal Shoemaker as accompanist sang "In the Garden" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Krusen was born in Union County near Hawarden November 19, 1880, and lived in Hawarden and this vicinity all his life.

He is survived by the widow, four children, Marlow Krusen of Hornick, Iowa. Mrs. Roy Haddican of Hudson. Mrs. Nathan Bray of Gothenburg, Neb., and Mrs. Wm Jahde of Hawarden and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
