Hulda Veenstra was born on December 19, 1913, to John and Lena Kok. She made profession of faith in the New Holland Christian Reformed Church.

On June 1, 1938, Hulda was married to Willam Veenstra. To this union four children were born: Sam of Harrison, Leroy of Lynden, Wash., Phyllis (Mrs. David Netz) of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Wilma (Mrs. Virgil Von Essen) of Edgerton, Minn.

Bill and Hulda farmed near Harrison until 1965 after which they lived in Sioux Center, Iowa, and one year on Mackinac Island, Mich.; then retired in Harrison.

Mrs. Veenstra is survived by her four children and 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Cornelius Kok of New Holland, Orin Kok of Platte, and Lloyd Kok of Quincy, Wash.; two sisters, Evelyn De Rui ter of Chicago, and Doris Jensen of Sioux Falls. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, and two sisters.

Hulda enjoyed various prayer groups and Bible studies. She remained active in the work of the Gideons.
