Henrietta Mieras, 79, died Tuesday evening in her home. Mrs. Mieras was born August 26, 1899 in the Netherlands, the daughter of John and Elsie Westra. In 1917 she came to the United States and later married Peter Mieras on April 17, 1935 at Ireton, IA.
The couple farmed in the Orange City area until moving into Orange City nine years ago.
Mrs. Mieras was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church.
Surviving are her husband Peter, two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Yvonne) Hager of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Jack (Joyce) Beattie of Portage, Michigan, also one son Arlen of Omaha, Neb.; four grandchildren one brother Sam Westra of Sioux Center, Ia., also three sisters Mrs. Sadie Netten and Mrs. Rich Bertha Meyer both of Sioux Center, Iowa and .Mrs, Orville (Anne) Kots of Bellflower, CA.
She was preceded in death by three brothers,
