Elizabeth was the daughter of John Bart Mouw and Betsy Mouw.

On September 10, 1930, she married Orville 0. De Jong at Sioux City. They made their home in Orange City.

Mrs. De Jong was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church and its Harmony Workers.

She was also a member of the Better Homes and Garden Departments of the Orange City Federated Women’s Club.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Hallard and Jay, both of Orange City;

4 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter; and two step-sisters, Mrs. Joe (Gertrude) Wiersma and Geraldine Reinders, both of Orange City.

Sioux County Capital, July 18, 1885. All of it is there but the funeral services:

Funeral services were held Friday, July 12, at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Orange City, with the Rev. John T. Ebbers officiating. Interment followed at West Lawn Cemetery in Orange City, under the direction of the Van Etten-Oolman Funeral Home of Orange City.
