John Luschen, Sr., 89, Le Mars, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 1984, in a Le Mars hospital after long illness.

Services were Monday, Feb. 27, in St. John's American Lutheran Church at Le Mars. Burial was in Resthaven Memory Gardens Cemetery under direction of the Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home.

Mr. Luschen was born October 29, 1894, at Pipestone, MN. He was a farmer and later was employed at the Sioux City Stockyards.

Survivors include his wife, the former Dorothy Weber; a son, John Jr. of Le Mars; three daughters, Mrs. Ray (Mildred) Plueger of Le Mars, Mrs. LeRoy (Cleone) Anderson of Sioux City and Mrs. Edwin (Winifred) Ten Napel of Ireton, and 15 grandchildren.
