JAMES W. LUSH DIES AT FARM

James W. Lush, 62, who lived practically all his life in Washington township southeast of Hawarden, died Thursday evening, June 27, following a heart attack.

When Mr. Lush did not arrive at the home of his brother, Homer Lush, who lives on an adjoining farm, the latter investigated. Mr. Lush found the body in the farm yard which was just across the road. It is believed that he died shortly after the attack.

He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James C. Lush and was born June 5, 1895, in Lincoln county, S.D. He came to this vicinity with his parents in 1901 at the age of six. After he grew to manhood he engaged in farming. He never married.

Survivors include three brothers, Ralph, Homer and Dell of Hawarden; one sister, Mrs. Blanche Martin of Newton, Iowa, and an aunt, Mrs. J. G. Horner of Hawarden.

Out of town people who came to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Martin of Newton, Iowa, Mrs. Kate Leggitt and Mrs. Marvel Nyhuis and daughter Vivian of Des Moines and Mr. and Mrs. George Atwood of Sioux City.
