RALPH LUSH DIES AT THE AGE OF 65

Funeral services for Ralph Lush, 65, long time farm resident of this community who died Thursday [Nov. 30] at the Hawarden hospital after suffering a heart attack a few hours earlier, were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral home. Rev. C. E. Custer officiated with burial in Grace Hill cemetery.

Mr. Lush was born November 24, 1896, in Lincoln county, S.D. He came to this community as a youth and resided on a farm the remainder of his life with the exception of his service in World War I.

Survivors include two brothers, Homer and Dell, both of Hawarden, and a sister, Mrs. Blanche Martin, of Newton, Iowa.

Out of town relatives attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Martin of Newton, Iowa, Dr. and Mrs. J. L. Lush of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. George Atwood, Mrs. Marvel Nyhus, Miss Vivian Nyhus, Elmer Beatty and son, Earl, all of Sioux City.
