Edwin George Brink son of John A. and Gertie Kuiken Brink was born January 3, 1913 in Maurice, Ia, He attended schools in the Maurice area. On June 6, 1940 he was united in marriage to Minnie DeVries in Sheldon, Ia. After their marriage the couple lived in the Maurice area for many years until 1961 when they came to Paullina and owned and operated Brinks Hardware Store until retiring in 1975. The couple continued to live in Paullina until Edwin’s death on Thursday, July 1, 1982 at his residence reaching the age of 69 years, five months and 18 days.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Paullina.
Edwin leaves to mourn his passing his wife Minnie of Paullina; one son Robert of Sheldon, and one daughter Mrs. Tom (Ruth) Abeles of Minneapolis, MN.; three grandchildren and five sisters, Mrs. Arnold (Dorothy) DeJong of Orange City; Mrs. William (Caroline) Smits of Maurice,
Mrs. F. N. (Esther) Reppe of Davenport; Mrs. Pierce (Arla) Jansma of Maurice, and
Mrs. Junior (Audrey) Siebersma of Orange City, also a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
