Funeral services for Henry Lange, who died at the Hudson Community Hospital at 10:45 last Thursday evening, March 18th, were held at the Emil Lange home at 1:30 Sunday afternoon and at 2 o'clock at the Peace Lutheran church in Plato township with Rev. Hugo Beyer officiating.

Henry Lange was born Sept. 10, 1890, at Dageling, Germany. He was the youngest of thirteen children. In February, 1913, he came to America, coming directly to the Rock Valley vicinity. He helped build the City Cafe and was manager of it until it became necessary for him to dispose of it because of poor health. For the past five years he suffered from heart trouble and his death was due to this. During the past year he made his home most of the time with his brother, Emil Lange. About a week preceding his death he was removed to the Hudson Community Hospital after he had suffered a second stroke and he passed away there last Thursday. His funeral day was the 31st anniversary of his confirmation day and two of his classmates from South Dakota attended the services. He is survived by three brothers and one sister, who reside in Germany, and another brother, Emil Lange, who resides near Rock Valley. Besides he leaves a number of nieces and nephews.

Friends from a distance who attended the services were Mr. and Mrs. Rudolf Bothern, Colman, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. John Bothern and daughter Hilda, Flandreau, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. George Platte and son Eddie, Dawson, Minn., and Mrs. Minnie Bergstresser, Sioux Falls.
