Marie Lange, 92, of Rock Rapids died suddenly Saturday, June 5 at a Rock Rapids hospital.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Rock Rapids. The Rev. Arnold Imbrock officiated. Burial was at 4 p.m. in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery in rural Sioux Center under direction of Jongewaard-Roste Funeral Home. A family visitation was from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday.

Mrs. Lange, the former Marie Behrman, was born Dec. 10, 1889 in Holstein, Germany. She married Emil Lange on April 16, 1911 in Germany. They came to America in 1911, settling in Sioux County. They farmed in Garfield township until retiring in 1942, when they moved to Rock Valley. Mr. Lange died in 1946. She then returned to the farm home then moved to Rock Rapids in 1950.

Survivors include two sons, Carl of Rock Rapids and Emil of Rock Valley; four daughters, Mrs. Albert (Frieda) Rehder of Hawarden, Mrs. Ann Benson of Rock Rapids, Mrs. Kenny (Emma) Brinkhous of Rock Valley, Mrs. Woodrow (Elsie) Lohman of Rock Rapids; two sisters, Mrs. Erna Anderson of Oakland, Iowa and Mrs. Emma Britton of Laramie, Wyo.; 20 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
