PHILIP LUNDGREN FUNERAL SERVICES HERE ON MONDAY

Funeral services for Philip Lundgren, 77, were held at the Methodist church with Rev. M. L. Jones officiating. Burial was made in the Valley View cemetery.

Mr. Lundgren died at his home on Thursday, after suffering a stroke a few days earlier. He was born in Sweden on December 15, 1873. As a young man he learned the tailoring trade, in which he was engaged until the time of his death.

Mr. Lundgren left Sweden at an early age and went to London, England, where he worked for ten years. He then came to this country and after spending some time in New York, went to Madison, Wis., where he met and married Hulda Helmer. One daughter was born to this union. The family moved to Rock Valley in 1919 and has resided here since that time.

Survivors include his widow, Hulda, one daughter, Astrid (Mrs. Fred Bonthuis), of Luverne, Minn., four grandchildren, one sister, Elin, of Chicago and one brother, Hjalmar, of Stoughton, Wis.

Pallbearers were Tim Kooima, F. L. Achatz, R. M. Schutz, Wm. Rozeboom, Willis De Jongh and Gerrit Doorn.
