DROPS DEAD AT ALCESTER

Arvil Lundgren, 15, of the Big Springs vicinity, died Tuesday night on the streets of Alcester. The coroner and a physician stated that he probably died from a blood clot or heart attack. He apparently had been in good health.

Arvil was a sophomore in Alcester high school and a member of the basketball squad. He came to Hawarden Tuesday evening with the Alcester team but did not play. He was suited for the game.

After the game he returned to Alcester. He was planning to spend the night with a friend. He was by himself when he was stricken on the street just north of the Lewis drug store. A number of boys in a car drove up to park and saw the youth fall. He died before medical aid reached him.

Arvil, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Lundgren, was born near Alcester March 8, 1932. Several years ago, the family moved onto a farm west of Big Springs. Besides his parents he is survived by one brother, Richard, and two sisters, Janice and Ardis, all at home; a grandfather, Chas. Anderton of Hawarden, and a grandmother, Mrs. V. Lundgren of Sioux Falls.
