Charlotte Mitchell, 61, of Ha warden,
died Wednesday (June 6, 1988) in the
Hawarden Community hospital after a
long illness.

Services were held Saturday in the
American Lutheran church in Hawarden.
The Rev. Jalmer Eldal officiated.
Burial was in Grace Hill cemetery,
under direction of the Dow funeral
home in Hawarden.

Pallbearers were Kelley Van Buskirk,
Jason Witt, Mark Witt, Larry Bockelman,
Jim Bockelman, and Darwin
Bockelman.

Mrs. Mitchell, the former Charlotte
Anna Van Buskirk, was born April 27,
1927, near Craig. She lived in Craig
until her marriage to Keith Mitchell
June 19,1949. The couple lived in Sioux
City before moving to Hawarden in
1970.

She was a member of the American
Lutheran church.

Survivors include her husband; a son,
Dave of Omaha; a daughter, Mrs. Dan
(Debbie) Maher of Forest Lake, Minn.;
three brothers, William of Le Mars,
Roland of Aurora, 111., and Lloyd of
Sioux City; two sisters, Hazel Newman
and Shirley Bockelman, both of Hawarden,
and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a
sister, Helen and two brothers, Frank
and Jesse.
