FUNERAL SERVICES HELD JULY 5 FOR MRS. FRED LUBBERS
Funeral services for Mrs. Fred Lubbers, 96, Sioux Center's oldest resident, were held at Central Reformed church here at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 5. She died July 2 at the Sioux Center Community Hospital following a brief illness.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Albert Ten Clay and burial was made in the Orange City cemetery with Vander Ploeg's Funeral Home of Sioux Center in charge of arrangements.
The former Minnie Vander Laan was born at Kalamazoo, Mich., December 7, 1875. She married Fred Lubbers at Kalamazoo May 30, 1899. Her husband preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Clarence of Lawrence, Mich., Alfred (Ted) of Sioux Center, and Robert of Tonawanda, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren and 35 great grandchildren.
