Mrs. William Ludwig, 77, of Hawarden, died July 10 at her residence. Funeral services were held Wednesday July 12 at the Peace Lutheran Church at Alcester, S.D. with Rev. W. A. Bunkowske. The burial was at the church cemetery.

Former Anna Johannsen, born May 29, 1895 in Union County. She was married on May 6, 1925 near Alcester. The family farmed south of Alcester until moving to Hawarden in Sept. of 1962. She was a member of the Peace Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Ludwig was preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Dorothy) Wendell in 1963.

Survivors include: Widower; daughter, Mrs. Herman (Esther) Holtkamp of Hawarden; brother, Chris of Phoenix, Ariz. and a granddaughter.

Pallbearers were: Victor Siemers, Vergene Heiman, Walter Holtkamp, Henry Wilkins, Paul Bern and Arthur Ludwig.
