MRS. FREDRIKA LUTJENS' RITES HELD ON MONDAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Fredrika Lutjens, 93, resident of the Restmore Nursing Home at Rock Rapids, Iowa, for the last seven years, who died on Saturday [Dec. 12] at a hospital in Rock Rapids, were held Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church northeast of Hull. The Rev. Rudolph Wendel officiated. Burial was in the cemetery nearby, under the direction of the Jongewaard Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were grandsons: Wallace Lutjens of Le Mars, Iowa; Elmer Lutjens of Hull; Edwin Lutjens of Waterloo, Iowa; Lawrence and Vernon Tiedeman of Hull; and Edward Tiedeman of Bigelow, Minnesota.

Mrs. Lutjens was born March 17, 1871, in Germany. She came to the United States and Sioux County, Iowa, as a young girl.

Survivors include a son, Otto of Omaha, Nebraska; a step-son, Louis of Worthington, Minnesota; a step-daughter, Mrs. Henry Tiedeman of Sheldon, owa; a brother, Carl Blessing, in a Home in Minnesota; 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 29 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Arthur; and by two step-sons, Herman and William.
