Myren Lynn Anderson, 67, of Hawarden died Thursday, March 30, 2000 at the North Hills Hospital in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Funeral service was Tuesday at the Roseni Lutheran Church in rural Beresford, S.D. Burial was at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Alcester, S.D. Visitation was Monday at the Wass Funeral Home in Alcester.

Myren Lynn Anderson was born Feb. 2, 1933 in Beresford to Alvin and Abbie (Lykken) Anderson. He was presently a member of the St. Andrew's Lutheran Church in Hurst, Texas, and was a past member of Roseni Lutheran Church.

Mr. Anderson attended the Star rural school. He married Beverley Ann Newberg on Dec. 27, 1951 at Roseni Lutheran Church. He farmed in the Alcester, Akron, and Beresford areas until 1971 when he moved to Beresford. He then worked in the construction business as a heavy equipment operator. He moved to Hawarden in 1975 and began spending his winters in Hurst, Texas in 1983. He was also employed in the construction business in Texas.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Beverley of Hawarden; three daughters, Cindy Wilkens and her husband James of Pukwana, S.D., Brenda Ericson and her husband Charles of Alcester, and Renee Olson and her husband Scott of Kimball, S.D.; six grandchildren; two brothers, Roger and Leroy Anderson, both of Sioux City, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
