William Wissink, 80, or Rock Valley died Wednesday, December 26, in a nursing home in Rock Valley.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., Friday, December 28 in the First Reformed Church. The Rev. Gordon Bloemendaal officiated. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery. Family visitation was from 7-8 P.M., Thursday, December 27 in the Porter Funeral Home.

Mr. Wissink was born Dec. 11, 1904, in Lakota, N.D. and attended Rock Valley rural school. He married Elsie Verdoorn Oct. 8, 1931, in Rock Valley. They farmed in the Rock Valley area, and retired to town in 1966. He moved to the Valley Manor Nursing Home in 1981. Mrs. Wissink died Aug. 8, 1983.

He was a member of the First Reformed Church.

Survivors include two sons, Richard M. and Willard, both of Rock Valley; one brother, Garret of Rock Valley; one sister, Mrs. John (Minnie) Vander Sanden of Rock Valley; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
