DEATH OF PETER ROBINET

On January 6, 1900, near Hospers, occurred the death of one of the oldest settlers in Sioux county--Peter Robinet, at the age of 79 years. The funeral was held on Tuesday at St. Anthony's Catholic church at Hospers where a large crowd was assembled to pay their last tribute of respect to their beloved neighbor and friend. He was born at Luxenburg, Germany, in 1821 and in 1846 was united in marriage to Miss Susanna Schumacher. They came to America in 1850 and settled in Ozankee, Wisconsin, and in 1868 they moved to La Salle, Illinois. In 1875 they came to Sioux County, which he made his home until last Saturday when the Master called him to his just reward.
