Mrs. John A. Larson of Hawarden passed away at 6 o'clock Wednesday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. C. W. Denny in Sioux Falls. Mrs. Larson had been failing in health for a number of years but about three months ago she was taken seriously ill and for the past two months she has been cared for by her daughter. The remains were brought to Hawarden today but funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

Hannah Ricketts was born in Sweden Jan. 29, 1870 and passed away May 28, 1930, at the age of 60 years, 3 months and 29 days. She came to America when a girl twelve years of age, making the trip to this country alone. She had a sister living in Denver, Colo, at that time and she made her home with her. Later she moved to Chicago where she made her home for a time. She was united in marriage with John Larson June 10, 1905 and for a few years they resided on their farm, seven miles southwest of Hawarden. When Mr. Larson retired they moved to Hawarden and she has made her home in this city since that time. She was a member of the Baptist church of Big Springs. She is survived by her husband and one daughter, Mrs. C. W. Denny of Sioux Falls. She also leaves three sisters and one brother in Denver, Colo to mourn her passing.
