Ludens, Annie, Mrs. Henry, 1900-1987

Annie Ludens, 86, of Woodstock, Minn., died Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Pipestone County Medical Center. Funeral services were held Jan. 13 at the American Reformed Church in Woodstock with Rev. Wendell Brenneman officiating. Burial was in Woodstock Cemetery.

Annie Ludens was born to Lou and Helena (Hamminga) Palsma on Sept. 17, 1900 at Hospers. At the age of two she moved with her family to Springfield, S.D. where she was raised and received her education. She was married to Henry Ludens on June 2, 1920 in Springfield, S.D. They farmed near Springfield until 1938 when they moved to Lime Springs, Iowa. They retired in 1957 and in 1958 they moved to Woodstock, Minn. Mr. Ludens died Nov. 13, 1959.

Mrs. Ludens was a member of the American Reformed Church in Woodstock.

She is survived by two sons, Louis of Woodstock, Minn., and Henry H. of Hampton, Iowa; two daughters, Grace, Mrs. Eugene Van Wyk of Orange City and Helena Ludens of Woodstock, Minn.; five grandsons and one sister, Nellie Ludens of Preston, Minn.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry, her son, John, and five brothers.
