Mrs. Sidney O. Drew, wife of a former Hawarden man, died at her home at Marshall, Minn., Saturday morning following a stroke which she suffered Friday night. She had been in ill health for some time and suffered a light stroke about two months ago but was believed to be improving satisfactorily when she was suddenly stricken fatally.
Mrs. Drew spent most of her life in Sioux Falls but the family moved from there to Marshall two or three years ago. She had visited in Hawarden occasionally at the home of her husband's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Drew, and had numerous friends here who were shocked at news of her sudden death. Besides her husband she is survived by four sons and one daughter, John, Dorothy, Roswell, Ralph and Sidney, all of whom are at home.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 Monday afternoon at the Miller Funeral Home in Sioux Falls, conducted by Rev. Hagen, and interment was made in a Sioux Falls cemetery. Mrs. Elizabeth Drew and son, F. E. Drew, and Walter Jones went to Sioux Falls to attend the funeral.
