Harold V. Maier, 83, 1 Cottonwood Drive, Sioux City, died Saturday, May 11, 1991 at Sunrise Manor Retirement Home.

Services were held Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Monsignor Thomas Donahoe officiating. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of the Larkin Morningside Funeral Home.

Mr. Maier was born July 14, 1907 in Sutherland. He attended school in Alton and graduated from Sutherland High School in 1926. He married Ann Marie Haugen Jenkins, Sept. 8, 1952 in Alton.

The couple made their home in Sioux City. He farmed in the Sutherland area until 1946 and then worked for Sears as a shipping clerk in San Diego, Calif. He returned to the Siouxland area and worked for American Pop Corn Co., as a shipping clerk, retiring in 1972.

Mr. Maier was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son. M. Harold Jenkins of Parma, Idaho two grandsons, M. Harold Jenkins III and Ed Jenkins, both of Parma; a granddaughter, Star Gordy of Boise, Idaho seven great grandchildren; and one great great grandson.
