Gerrit Lammers, 48, of Ireton, died Tuesday, Jan. 12 in the Hawarden Hospital of injuries suffered in a two-vehicle accident south of Ireton.
Services were held Friday, Jan. 15 in the First Reformed Church in Ireton. Rev. Steven J. Bakker officiated. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Lammers was born July 15, 1939 in Sheldon and graduated from Sheldon High School. He married Karen Koopmans, Aug. 25, 1972, in Ireton. The couple made their home in Boyden for 4 1/2 years, moving to Ireton in March, 1977. He owned and operated Gerrit's Machine Shop in Ireton for the past 10 years.
Mr. Lammers was a member of the First Reformed Church of Ireton.
Survivors include his wife; four daughters, Sheila, Heather, Stacy and Lisa, all at home; a brother, William Jr. of Sheldon, and three sisters, Mrs. Max (Hermina) McGinnis, of Cheyenne, WY., Mrs. James (Elizabeth) Dykstra, of Orange City, and Mrs. Norman (Fannie) Menning, of Doon.
